Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you doing this?
Why not? I have nothing better to do. And I like riding.
Where are you going?
Vancouver to TJ, then turn left and ride until I hit the other ocean.
How do you navigate?
Keep the Pacific on my right until I hit the border? I mean, it's mostly just the 101 and PCH the whole way, so not much navigation required, and having grown up on the Central Coast, I've already ridden the tricky bits from SLO to Ventura where you lose the 1 and have to navigate frontage roads and the freeway for stretches. I have my phone and old school physical maps if I get into trouble.
I may pick up the ACA maps for my Eastward trek. Have not planned that far ahead.
What kind of bike are you riding?

What are you carrying?

What's the title of your blog mean?
Literally, it's my phrase for when you perform a successful solo attack off the back of the pelaton during a race. Usually happens during a hill. It's also a metaphor.

It's a lyric from "Failure" by Laura Marling. Good artist. Check her out. I assume she's making an allusion to Genesis 1:27, but I tend to contemplate it through the lens of Psalm 139: 13-16.
